LumaBooth for Android turns your Android phone or tablet into a full photo booth: photos, GIFs, boomerangs, videos, and 360, with sharing and printing built in. This guide walks you through your first event.
1. Install the App
First, make sure your device meets the hardware and system requirements. Then install LumaBooth from the Google Play Store.
2. Sign In
Open the app and sign in with your LumaBooth account. If you don't have one yet, you can create it for free and try every feature with a free watermarked trial.
3. Create and Design Your Event
Events are created and designed in the LumaBooth Dashboard, which opens right inside the app. There you set up:
Booth modes: photo, GIF, boomerang, video, 360, or any combination.
Layouts and overlays: design your print layout and add your branding.
Screens: customize the welcome screen and guest experience.
Your events sync to the app automatically. You can also design events from any computer by signing in to the LumaBooth Dashboard in a browser.
4. Run the Booth
Select your event to start the welcome screen. Guests tap to start a session, pose along with the countdown, and their photos and videos are captured with your layout applied.
To keep guests from leaving the app during an unattended event, use Android App Pinning.
5. Sharing
After each session, guests can grab their photos and videos instantly by scanning a QR code with their own phone. No app install needed on their end.
6. Printing
LumaBooth prints to network photo printers over WiFi. Dye-sub printers from DNP, HiTi, and Mitsubishi connect through the LumaBooth Assistant app on a Windows or Mac computer, or DNP's WCM Plus device. See Printing with LumaBooth for Android for setup.
