360 and Slow Motion
If you'll be using LumaBooth on a 360 spinner or with slow motion features, we recommend a recent mid-range or flagship device. These features record at high frame rates, which requires a camera and processor capable of high-speed video capture. A device with an ultra-wide camera is recommended on 360 spinners to get a full body shot. See 360 and Slow Motion Booth Features on Android for details and how to check your device.
Cameras
LumaBooth for Android uses your device's built-in front and rear cameras. External DSLR and mirrorless cameras are not supported on Android. If you need DSLR support, check out LumaBooth for Windows or LumaBooth for iPad/iPhone.
Printing
LumaBooth prints to network photo printers over WiFi using IPP (Internet Printing Protocol). Dye-sub printers from DNP, HiTi, and Mitsubishi connect over USB and cannot join the network on their own. To print to one, run the LumaBooth Assistant app on a Windows or Mac computer as a print server, or use DNP's WCM Plus device. The printer (or print server) and your Android device must be on the same WiFi network, and the network must allow multicast/mDNS traffic for automatic printer discovery.
Permissions
LumaBooth requires the following permissions:
Camera: to capture photos and videos
WiFi / Network access: to share photos and discover printers on the local network
Location: required by Android to perform WiFi network scanning and printer discovery. It is not used to track your location.
Notifications: to display sharing and print job status
