LumaBooth Hardware and OS Requirements

LumaBooth will run on any iPad or iPhone with iOS/iPadOS 15 or greater. If your iPad or iPhone is runs iOS 13 or later, it will work. LumaBooth also runs on any Macs with MacOS 14 or later.

If using 360 or slow motion features, the current or last iPad/iPhone generation is recommended.

iPad

LumaBooth will run on any recent iPad. The following iPads are much older and are not supported: iPad (1st-4th generation), iPad Mini (1st generation), iPad Air 1. Devices older than 3 years will have slower performance with advanced features such as AI background removal and green screen.

iPhone

Supported iPhones are iPhone 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, SE, X, 8, 7, 6s and their various mini, Pro, and Max models. If you'll be using on a 360 spinner, we highly recommend models with an ultra-wide camera to get a full body shot. We recommend the iPhone 11,12, 13, 14 or 15 for this.

Mac

  • Apple Silicon: Any Mac device with an M1, M2, M3, or M4 processor is supported.
  • Intel-based Processors: As of v4.1.3, any computer running MacOS Sonoma (MacOS 14) or later will be supported.
  • Older Intel-based processors: If your Mac cannot running MacOS Sonoma, you can use our older version of dslrBooth for Mac.

Printing

LumaBooth has several printing options.

Cameras

LumaBooth can use the iPad's built-in front and rear cameras including telephoto, wide, and ultra-wide cameras. It can also use Canon and Nikon mirrorless and DSLR cameras.

Sharing/Slideshow

You can also run a separate sharing station using our companion LumaShare app that can also play a slideshow to AppleTV, AirPlay, and HDMI.

Excuse my ignorance, but could I connect a Mitsubishi D-90 with the wireless adapter on the printer? Also, if I want to connect directly to a printer, I need to use an app- the one you provide- connected to a regular printer, right?

Jose, you would need to use LumaBooth Assistant.

Will lumabooth work with Apples's new M1 chips? Looking to upgrade my iPad's but I wont upgrade unless your software works on the new M1 chips.
