Installing .net framework 4.6.2 on Windows 7

For failed installations of the .NET Framework on Windows 7 with this message

The .NET Framework 4.5.x/4.6.x is not supported on this operating system.

This message typically indicates that Windows 7 SP1 is not installed. On Windows 7 systems, the .NET Framework requires Windows 7 SP1.

If you are on Windows 7 and have not yet installed Service Pack 1, you will need to do so before installing the .NET Framework.

Alternatively, you can install Windows 7 SP1 using the Offline installer.

  • windows6.1-KB976932-X86.exe: installs Sp1 to a 32-bit machine running Windows 7.

  • windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe: installs Sp1 to a 64-bit machine running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.

Other Errors

Install the .NET Framework v4.6.2 using the offline installer.

After Framework is installed, you can proceed with installing LumaBooth for Windows (dslrBooth).
