Green Screen and Beauty Filter will not work due to installation

After installing dslrBooth you may receive an error message like the following:

There is an installation problem with the software. Green screen, beauty filter and effects will be disabled until you solve the installation problem. Please, send the log to open a support ticket.

If you receive this error message, follow the steps below to correct the issue.

  1. Quit dslrBooth in case it is running.

  2. Press Windows key + X.

  3. Select Windows PowerShell (Admin).

  4. Windows will display a dialog box with the following message "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?". Click Yes. Windows will open the Windows PowerShell (Admin) command prompt.

  1. Type the following command in the Windows PowerShell prompt and press Enter:

xcopy "C:\Program Files\dslrBooth\content\api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll" "C:\Windows\system32\downlevel\api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll"

  1. Type the following command in the Windows PowerShell prompt and press Enter:

exit

  1. Start dslrBooth.
