How many computers/devices can I use dslrBooth on?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Your first subscription includes your first computer plus a bonus computer. You can add additional subscriptions (computers) to this at fotoShare Cloud > Subscriptions > dslrBooth > Add More Devices. - Two-Device Limit: dslrBooth allows you to use its software on up to two devices simultaneously. If you encounter a device limit error or need to switch devices, you can manage your activations through the Lumasoft account portal or fotoShare.co. Once the software is activated on two devices, any additional activation attempts will require deactivating one of the existing devices.

  • Simultaneous Usage: Both activated devices can be actively used at the same time without any restrictions within the two-device allowance.Windows updates can cause a computer to appear as a new device. To fix activation issues, deactivate ALL existing computers in fotoShare.co.

If you need to deactivate a device, you can do so at fotoshare.co > Subscriptions > Devices or through the Lumasoft account portal. After deactivating, you can activate the license on any computer by simply logging in again. To transfer your dslrBooth installation to another device, follow these general steps for managing device activations:

  1. Log in to the Lumasoft Account Portal: Use the email and password associated with your Lumasoft subscription.

  2. Navigate to the Subscriptions Section: Locate the subscription for dslrBooth.

  3. Access Device Management: Open the "Devices" or "Deactivate Devices" tab.

  4. Deactivate an Existing Device: Select the device you no longer wish to use and deactivate it.

  5. Activate a New Device: Log in to the application on your new device to activate it.

  1. Access the Deactivation Feature: Use the deactivation option in your dslrBooth management interface to unlink the software from your current device.

  2. Reactivate on a New Device: With the device deactivated, reinstall and activate dslrBooth on your new device using your subscription credentials.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

  • Device Limit Error: If you see a message that your subscription only supports two devices, ensure you have deactivated an older device before attempting to activate a new one.

  • App Not Opening: After deactivating a device, restart the application on the new device to complete the activation process.
