The speed of sending depends on how fast your internet connection is. Your photo or video first need to upload to fotoShare Cloud then your SMS message is sent to your guest's phone number.
If you find that your pending uploads were not sent out, there are a few things you can do:
Update to the latest version. Go to the App Store, Search for LumaBooth, Tap on Update button. If you only see Open then you have the latest version.
Connect to the internet and run LumaBooth.
Go to Settings, Sharing Status, Uploads. If the number of pending uploads is greater than zero, leave the app running while connected to the internet and the pending messages will send.
Wait 30 minutes.
In the rare chance that a specific SMS message did not send out, click on SMS line under Sharing Status and it'll show you additional information and possible errors.
A common issue is that your Country Code is not correctly entered under Settings, Country Code.
Additionally, if you encounter the error code "The recipient carrier did not accept the message (40008)," this indicates a carrier rejection due to the SMS being flagged as spam.
To resolve this, remove any non-essential URLs or promotional content from the message and resend it after ensuring it includes only the essential system-provided share link.
If there are no errors, the message shows sent and your or your guests did not receive it, take a screenshot and share it with our support team [email protected] with a note on which phone number did not receive your message and your LumaBooth account email.
Best Practices for SMS Delivery
To enhance successful SMS delivery:
Write clear, context-specific messages.
Include only necessary links, avoiding multiple URLs or promotional content.
Avoid repetitive or overly templated wording.
Test message deliverability across different devices and carriers. Before reaching out to support, it’s also advisable to ask Android device users to check their Spam folder within their default Messages app. Recipients should ensure the sender's number isn't blocked and unmark messages as spam if found there.
