If you find that your your pending uploads were not sent out, there are a few things you can do:
Update to the latest version. Go to the App Store, Search for LumaBooth, Tap on Update button. If you only see Open then you have the latest version.
Connect to the internet and run LumaBooth.
Go to Settings, Sharing Status, Uploads. If the number of pending uploads is greater than zero, leave the app running while connected to the internet and the pending messages will send.
If there are pending uploads, wait 30 minutes to give the app time to upload your photos and videos.
If there are no pending uploads, go to the start screen, click on the browse icon in the top left, verify that the photos/videos you are looking for are still present in LumaBooth. If the photos/videos are missing, then most likely your guests used the Retake function to delete them from the app which cannot be undone. However, you can find the photos/videos on the device's Photos app.6. Note that if the app is uninstalled while there are still pending uploads, these uploads will not resume upon reinstalling the app. Ensure that you have backed up or accessed all important media files before uninstalling LumaBooth.
The speed of sending depends on how fast your internet connection is. With videos, the uploads will be slower as the files are larger. To get the uploads to complete faster, consider lowering your video resolution and quality under Capture Settings. This will create a smaller file which will upload faster.
In the rare chance that your files are still not sending, you will see an error on that screen. If you still have issues after waiting 30 minutes, take a screenshot and share it with our support team [email protected] with a note on what your LumaBooth account email is. Additionally, if you recently uninstalled and reinstalled the app, be aware that pending uploads from the previous installation will no longer send automatically. You may need to manually locate and upload your files.
Additional Steps for Customers in Brazil
If you are in Brazil, unfortunately some Internet Service Providers are blocking access to uploads. To get uploads and SMS shares working, you can do one of the following:
Set your DNS Server to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 OR
Use a VPN service.
Understanding How LumaBooth Handles App Uninstallation and Test Media
Impact of App Uninstallation on Pending Uploads
If you uninstall LumaBooth while there are pending automatic uploads, those uploads will be halted and will not resume even if you later reinstall the app. Uninstallation removes the app’s ability to access and complete the pending uploads. Should you still have the original files on your device, you will need to manually upload them to retrieve your data. Keep this in mind before deciding to uninstall LumaBooth.
Handling Test Videos When Creating New Events
When you create a new event in LumaBooth, your previously captured test videos will remain associated with the original event. They will not transfer automatically to the newly created event and will only be accessible when viewing the initial event where they were saved. This allows you to keep your events organized and ensures your captured media stays linked to the correct event.
