Getting Started: Determining Required Dimensions
Before designing, you need to know the exact dimensions required for your device:

Go to Settings
Select Welcome Screen
Click on Background
Under Background Image, tap Choose Image
Note the dimensions shown - these are the exact dimensions you'll need for your designs
Creating Your Start Screen Video
Setting Up Your Design
Open your preferred design software
Create a new project with the exact dimensions you noted from LumaBooth
Designing Your Start Screen
Create a design that matches your event theme
Include text that says "Tap to Start"
Position your logo and text elements centrally for the best visibility
Consider using your event colors, theme elements, or branding for consistency
Adding Animation and Movement
Add animation to your "Tap to Start" text (such as a flicker or pulse effect)
For added visual interest, consider adding a background video or animated elements
Make sure the background doesn't overshadow your important text elements
Preview your design to ensure it looks as expected before exporting
Creating Your Welcome Screen
Create a new design using the same dimensions and theme as your start screen
Keep this design static (no animations needed)
Include instructional text such as "Press the camera button to begin"
Position elements to work well with the LumaBooth camera button
Ensure text is readable and contrasts well with the background
Exporting Your Designs
For the Start Screen Video:
Export as an MP4 video
Ensure the video length is appropriate (typically 10-30 seconds)
Check that any animations are smooth and not distracting
For the Welcome Screen:
Export as a PNG or JPEG image
Use high resolution for the clearest display
Check that all text is legible when viewed at final size
Transferring Files to Your Device
Transfer your MP4 and PNG/JPEG files to your device via email, instant messenger, cloud storage (like Dropbox), or direct connection
If designing directly on your device, save files where you can easily access them from LumaBooth
Implementing in LumaBooth
Setting Up the Welcome Screen:
Open LumaBooth and create a new event
In Settings, Welcome Screen, tap Background
Select Choose Image and select your welcome screen PNG/JPEG
Delete the default title and subtitle by selecting them and tapping Delete
Adjust capture settings as needed (e.g., deselect GIF, Boomerang, SL360, Video)
Position the camera button by going back to Edit Welcome Screen
Tap Arrange to ensure the button is properly centered
Optional: Upload a custom button by tapping Choose
Adding Your Start Screen Video:
Go to Settings, Start Screen

Testing Your Setup
Before your event, be sure to test the complete flow from start screen to welcome screen to ensure everything appears and functions as expected.
Troubleshooting Tips
If your screens appear cropped, double-check that you used the correct dimensions
If animations don't appear, ensure you exported the start screen as an MP4 video
If text is hard to read, adjust font size or color for better contrast
If files won't upload, check that they're in the correct format and not too large
Design Tips for Any Software
Use high-contrast colors for better readability
Keep designs simple and avoid cluttering the screen
Match your event's theme and color scheme
Test on your device before the event to ensure proper display
Consider the placement of the LumaBooth camera button when designing your welcome screen
