In some events, it might be difficult or impossible to have your booth connected to the internet. To allow guests to get their photos and videos in this scenario, dslrBooth offers Local QR codes for offline sharing. On the sharing screen, the generated QR Code will link to the booth computer instead of fotoShare Cloud. Guests can download their videos and photos directly from your booth over Wifi by scanning a QR Code. This requires guests to be on the same wifi network.
Prerequisite
dslrBooth v6.40 or greater.
Your own wifi network. Do not use venue's wifi network as it'll block access. Purchase a decided Wifi router and make a note of the Wifi password.
Set dslrBooth to generate local QR Code instead of fotoShare Cloud QR Codes. Settings, Sharing, QR Code, Link QR to local computer.
Steps for Guests
Ask users to connect to your wifi network. Share the wifi network name and password with your guests. We recommend Porter Wifi so they can easily connect tap to connect. You can also print out an instruction sheet and QR code to connect to your wifi network.
After running a session, guests can scan the QR code on the sharing screen to quickly get their photos/video on their mobile phones.
