Sharing your Photos/Videos to Twitter

Updated this week

dslrBooth previously supported direct posting to Twitter accounts, allowing guests to share their photos with custom tweets directly from the booth. We've made the decision to remove this feature due to significant changes in Twitter's API pricing and accessibility, along with ongoing technical instability that affected the reliability of the sharing experience.

Recommended Solution: fotoShare Cloud

We now recommend using our fotoShare Cloud service for social media sharing, including Twitter. This provides a more flexible and reliable way for your guests to share their photos on any social platform they prefer.

How It Works:

  • Automatic Photo/Video Uploads: Photos and Videos are automatically uploaded to fotoShare Cloud during your event - no internet configuration needed at the booth

  • Universal Sharing: Guests can share their photos on Twitter (X), Instagram, Facebook, or any social platform they choose

  • No API Limitations: Share directly from any device without worrying about API changes, rate limits, or authentication issues

  • Guest Convenience: Guests can share at their convenience after the event, using their own devices and accounts

How Guests Can Share on Twitter Using fotoShare Cloud:

  1. Photos automatically upload to your fotoShare Cloud gallery during the event

  2. Share the gallery link with your guests (via email, QR code, or display)

  3. Guests access their photos on their own device

  4. They can download and post to Twitter with their own captions and hashtags

  5. No booth-side login or authentication required

This approach gives your guests more control over their social sharing while ensuring reliable service regardless of changes to social media platforms' APIs.
