Import and Export Templates

You can quickly and easily import and export templates into LumaBooth.

Add Templates from Photoshop and other Vendors

  1. Create template as a PNG or JPG image in your graphics editor app
  2. Copy over to iPad's Files app
  3. Print Layout > Add Image
  4. Choose image uploaded in step 2

Import Templates designed in LumaBooth or dslrBooth or our online Store

To import templates you have designed in LumaBooth or dslrBooth or purchased from our store, use the import template feature under Print Layout. You'll need to send the template to your iPad either over e-mail or a file sharing service. Then open the template zip file file in Safari, Google Drive, or Dropbox Apps, AirDrop from MacOS and then click Open With LumaBooth. The template will then load into LumaBooth.

Export templates for use in LumaBooth or dslrBooth

LumaBooth will automatically synch your event settings across all your iPads provided you are logged in with the same account. However, if you wish to export your template to send to someone else, you can use the Export Templates feature. Click on Print Layout at the top of the start screen then click on the Export button at the top of the print layout screen.

Choose where you would like to export the template to (Google Drive, Email, iCloud Drive or Airdrop to a MAC computer.).

When finished with your template click Done in the upper right hand corner.

I'm having the same issue.  Followed the instructions, zipped file, opened with Lumabooth and poof nothing happens.  Lumabooth opens and all I see is the "Kate & Jacks Wedding" text.  Spent hours upon hours trying to figure it out.  Put in a support ticket....no response.  Horrible customer service.  Going to leave some very detailed comments for this app. Waste of time during a time when I have not time to waste!

The template must be exported from dslrBooth or LumaBooth or else LumaBooth will not be able to import it.

If you created your template in any other software, export it as a PNG, then go to LumaBooth and Add Image.

Hey, Mike: I'm not having any success loading my designs into the app using the import option.  If I design a print in, say, Elements, which I prefer to do, I export it where? I tried storing this jpg background and png overlay in a Google drive folder, but how do I move them to the LumaBooth iPad app?

Where can we find the dimensions of the welcome screen and the photo overlay.

Ameenah, for the welcome screen, it depends on your iPad model. Easiest solution is to take a screenshot of your iPad and create the welcome screen in that size.

    4x6 templates are 1800x1200px.
