To avoid interruption of your events, it is highly recommended to turn off iOS operating system updates and downloads. Instead, we advise you to install these updates manually when is convenient for you. Otherwise, when iOS downloads updates in the background, it might interfere with your event.

Turn off auto updates
On iPhones and iPads, automatic Updates are enabled by default, but you can turn them off.
Go to Settings > General > Software Update > Automatic Updates.
Turn off both Download iOS Updates and Install iOS Updates.
