Lighting Setup

Updated over a week ago
  1. Setup your background, setup your light(s), put your camera on a tripod.

  2. Get a volunteer and stand them where people will be standing. Shoot some test shots till everything is to your liking.

  3. Optional: If you like to tinker with manual mode, we recommend shutter speed: 1/100-1/125, aperture: 5.6, and ISO starting at 400. Adjust settings and lighting accordingly to prevent underexposure. Avoid using Program or Auto mode, as manual settings ensure consistency and prevent delays.

If you're doing green screen, we recommend the lighting setup below to avoid harsh shadows. For optimal results, use bright, continuous light sources that evenly illuminate the scene. Avoid relying on the camera flash, and position lights to prevent glares or overexposed spots.

Using Auto modes like Auto ISO, Auto White Balance, or Auto Focus can lead to delays and inconsistent photo quality. To ensure reliable and sharp images, configure your camera's settings manually.
