How-to Add Overlays, MP3s/MP4s. Effects, Graphics

LumaBooth works with the iPad/iPhone's built-in FILES app to allow you to add components (overlays, mp3s/mp4s, effects and graphics).

The files app allows you to choose from files on your iPad, iCloud, Google Drive and downloads. You upload the files to iCloud, Google Drive, or AirDrop then choose them directly from within LumaBooth. This also organizes your files as you can have different folders for each of templates, gif overlays, start screens, etc...

ADD FROM:
PC/Mac | GOOGLE DRIVE | BROWSER/PHOTOS APP

Add a file from a PC or MAC through iCloud.com

  1. Go to iCloud.com and log in with your iCloud email address and password.
  2. Click on iCloud Drive.
  3. Upload or drag and drop your file into iCloud Drive.
  4. Open LumaBooth and go to where you want that file to be uploaded to (print layout, boomerang/gif overlay, virtual attendant mp4, video soundtrack, green screen background, etc).
  5. Click Choose. On the left side of the Files Dialog box that appears choose iCloud Drive.
  6. Select your file.

Add a file from Google Drive

  1. Open Google Drive on your computer, phone or other device.
  2. Add your file to Google Drive.
  3. Open LumaBooth and go to where you want that file to be uploaded to (gif overlay, virtual attendant mp4, video soundtrack, green screen background, etc).

Adding files that are in the Photos App

If you download an image from the internet on the iPad/iPhone, Safari will save images to the photos app. Files that are currently in the photos app (photo roll) will need to be copied to the FILES app on your iPad. This method will is not recommended as it does not work with PNG files if you need a transparent overlay.

  1. Open Photos app.
  2. Hold your finger down on your file then click SHARE.
  3. Select the files you want to save to the Files app.
  4. Scroll down and choose Save to Files.
  5. Open LumaBooth and go to where you want that file to be uploaded to (gif overlay, virtual attendant mp4, video soundtrack, green screen background, etc).
  6. Click Choose. On the left side of the Files Dialog box choose On My iPad.
  7. Select your file.

The old method of importing files (mentioned in the articles below) have also changed to follow the instructions above.
