Graphics Driver Troubleshooting Steps

1. Confirm that you're using the latest version of dslrBooth. You can always download the latest from https://dslrbooth.com/download
2. Confirm that your graphic card meets our hardware requirements.
   To find your graphics card in Windows 11, you can use the Settings app, the Task Manager, or the System Information utility:
   Windows > Settings > System > Display > Advanced Display
   Your graphics card will be listed under Display information

3. Updating your graphics driver can fix many issues, such as crashing, incorrectly rendered images, and performance problems. Get driver updates directly from the video card manufacturer and not Windows Update:

   • Intel drivers
   • NVIDIA drivers
   • AMD drivers
4. Set dslrBooth to run in Windows High performance Graphics Mode.
   1. Close dslrBooth if it is running.
   2. Go to System Settings:
      • Open the Start Menu and click on Settings.
      • Navigate to System > Display > Graphics.
   3. Under Add desktop app, select Desktop app from the dropdown menu.
   4. Click Browse and locate the dslrBooth executable file:
      • Default path: C:\Program Files\dslrBooth\dslrBooth.exe
      • If dslrBooth was installed on a different drive, locate the executable there.
   5. After selecting dslrBooth.exe, click Options.
   6. Choose High performance and click Save.
   7. Restart dslrBooth.

NOTE:

• Windows Update won't always give you the latest and greatest drivers. You must go directly to your card manufacturer’s website to check for driver updates.
• Be sure to choose the correct driver. Notebook drivers sometimes have a different name than similar desktop drivers.
• Some video adapter manufacturers have other software that requires updating in addition to the video driver. Read the update instructions carefully, and contact the video adapter manufacturer directly if you don't understand the instructions
