[mac] Green Screen (Chroma Keying) - Professional Edition

Green screen allows you to replace a green screen background with any image.

In order to make the Green screen replacement work, you will need a solid Green or Blue backdrop to add behind your guests. You can find green screens on our website under recommend supplies.

dslrBooth has a very powerful green screen function that is able to remove all the green background from the photo and replace it with your new background image. This feature is only available in our Professional Edition. You can also see this quick tutorial below for step by step instructions.

Hi guys, I'm using the green screen option but I cant seem to see the overlay when taking the shot. Is there an option to see this as we are taking the shot to get positioning perfect?

Hi, Has anyone had the problem of purchasing the professional addition of dslr and the little green screen icon that should be at the top of the control screen along with the settings button etc is not there? I have all the icons but the green screen one is missing.

@Glasto: Have you ever found a solution for your problem? I struggle the same.

I now solved the problem by pressing "RESET LL SETTINGS" in the Settings/General Menue :-)

Would be nice if the backgrounds for the Green Screen had a  consistent pixel dimension. I don't wish for mine to be stretched. I've found that a resolution of 2725x1800 seems to work with the least amount of disproportional scaling which I'm needing due to how it interacts with an overlay.

Travis, backgrounds should be same aspect ratio as the photos from your camera so either 3:2 or 16:9 depending on the camera. Test capturing a photo and check what the size is.

Thanks Mike! I had assumed the same thing, however, this doesn't appear to be the case for me. If you have a 4x6 template (vertical) with an overlay and background of the same dimension, the background gets stretched to fill some generic width that the software deems appropriate, so I need to pad out the pixel dimensions to fill said generic background without the art shifting out of place. I'm running v3.9 Professional for Mac using a Canon 5DmII. I'm a Graphic Designer and Photographer so resolution and pixel dimensions are vital to me. So far, I've determined that a background of 2725px x 1800 px will result in a 100% representation of the artwork. The other frustration is that background art doesn't centre exactly the same across templates so each background is unique for each template.
