Video Guestbook with iPad/iPhone How-to


You can use LumaBooth to provide a video guestbook at your wedding or special event.

To get started, you'll need an external microphone to get good-quality audio.

Requirements

For iPads with a 3.5mm jack (circular headphone jack), we recommend the Polsen HH-IC Handheld Condenser Microphone.

For iPads with type-c or lightning jacks, you'll need a 3.5mm to USB-C converter. We recommend the Rode AI-Micro Ultracompact which can take two 3.5mm microphones and convert them to plug into your iPhone/iPad.

If you have are not on a budget and want much higher quality audio recording, we recommend an XLR Microphone from Shure or similar, an XLR cable, and the Shure MVI Digital Interface.

If you're using a Canon or Nikon external camera, connect your microphone directly to the camera.
​

LumaBooth Configuration

Go to Settings, Capture Mode, Turn on Video mode. Turn off photo, GIF, 360/Slow-mo modes.
​

Under Settings, Capture Settings, Video, adjust your countdown and duration of the video.
​
Optionally add before and after videos to get added to the recorded video.


Optionally, under Virtual Attendant, turn on the built-in video animations or upload your own.
​

Exit settings and you're all set-up.
