Using with Bill/Coin and Card Acceptors

Updated over a week ago

Bill/Coin and Card acceptors can be used with dslrBooth with a 3rd party software that can be programmed to send keystrokes to dslrBooth.

For example, the F13 key will start a session and you can disable triggering from the touch screen under Settings, Screen Editor, Welcome Screen.

Additionally, dslrBooth supports integration with external payment terminals, such as Nayax card readers, through third-party software. This allows for a broader range of payment options during photo booth sessions.

Steps for Integration

  1. Obtain Third-Party Software: Identify and acquire a compatible third-party program that can interface your payment terminal with dslrBooth. This software acts as a bridge between the hardware and the application.

  2. Follow Terminal Provider Instructions: Refer to the setup and connection instructions provided by the payment terminal’s manufacturer or third-party provider. These instructions will guide you on how to configure the terminal for use with external applications.

  3. Configure dslrBooth Payment Features: Once the terminal is connected via the third-party software, configure the payment features within dslrBooth to enable payment processing. This may involve setting up payment session initiation and completion workflows.

We recommend the bill/coin and card acceptance system from Casino Software that is pre-configured to work with dslrBooth and works with virtually all cards, currencies, coins, and bank notes.

You can configure each session with a specific cost then any additional money added can be used towards additional sessions that will run when the current session is completed.

You can also optionally connect the system to a hopper to return the correct amount of change.

You can also set it to play sounds and turn on lights when the correct amount of money is added.
