With the Windows May 2019 update, there is a feature called Controlled Folder Access that can be turned on to protect user's folders on the computer.
This feature however can affect how LumaBooth for Windows (dslrBooth) is run as the Controlled Folder Access does not allow LumaBooth for Windows (dslrBooth) to access the folder the photos are being sent to.
There are two options you can choose from to allow LumaBooth for Windows (dslrBooth) to continue working normally.
1. (Preferred Method) Turn off Controlled Folder Access.
Go to Windows Settings and search Controlled Folder Access.
Select Controlled Folder Access to open it. Windows Defender Security Center
modal will be shown with Controlled Folder Access.
Set this to OFF.
2. Enable Controlled folder access for LumaBooth for Windows (dslrBooth).
Go to Windows Settings and search Controlled folder access.
Select Controlled folder access to open it. Windows Defender Security Center modal will be shown with Controlled folder access.
Set to On (if it is set to Off, LumaBooth for Windows (dslrBooth) runs without issues)
Windows Defender Security Center model will appear. Click YES.
Click allow an app through Controlled folder access by clicking Add an Allowed app.
Select dslrBooth.exe, dslrBooth.TemplateProcess.exe and ffmpeg.exe. Click Open to make changes to the configuration.
Restart LumaBooth for Windows (dslrBooth).
